DFX Platform for life-cycle aspects analysis

چکیده
“Design for X” is commonly regarded as a systematic and proactive designing of products to optimize total benefits over the whole product life span (fabrication, assembly, test, procurement, shipment, delivery, operation, service, disposal), and meet target quality, cost, performance and time-to-market. DFX involves different methodologies for product design and optimization (like Design for: Manufacturing, Assembly, Variety, Serviceability, Environment, Reliability, Utilization, etc.), which provide useful results, however, they address only specific aspects of product life-cycle. In addition, various perspectives for business economics can often drive to contradicted conclusions, what makes the evaluation of both technical feasibility and product profitability more difficult. In this paper the framework for DFX analysis was proposed. In the described solution, the various product life-cycle analysis strategies are integrated, and profit calculations relay on common denominator – the present value of net benefit. This approach allows covering of all phases of a product life cycle not excluding e.g. complex environmental aspects. Based on the proposed framework, the DFX Platform was developed and implemented as a web service. The application of the system to a few product developments carried out within crossbordered manufacturing company showed its big positive impact on projects and their results.

Improvements in product design are conventionally made after the start of massproduction, followed by reductions in cost and lead-time. However, in light of the shorter product life-cycles and high-mix/low-volume production of recent years, it is increasingly important to carefully optimize productivity from the initial stages of massproduction. It is generally considered that design determines...

A multi-center study from the French Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) Group confirmed that iron chelation therapy is an independent prognostic factor that can increase the survival rate of patients who are suffering from transfusion-dependent low-risk MDS. In this study, we aimed to explore this clinical phenomena in vitro, by exploring the synergistic effect of the iron chelator Deferasirox (DFX...
متن کاملHypoxia regulates human lung fibroblast proliferation via p53-dependent and -independent pathways
BACKGROUND Hypoxia induces the proliferation of lung fibroblasts in vivo and in vitro. However, the subcellular interactions between hypoxia and expression of tumor suppressor p53 and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors p21 and p27 remain unclear. METHODS Normal human lung fibroblasts (NHLF) were cultured in a hypoxic chamber or exposed to desferroxamine (DFX). DNA synthesis was measured using...
متن کاملNonlinear statics analysis of on offshore jaket platform in the case of explosion
Explosion and fire on an offshore rig can lead to its minor or complete damage and sinking which means the loss of life or environmental pollution. Hence the use of techniques such as blast wall is crucial to reduce the detrimental effects. These blast walls are designed for explosion wave of length between 0.1 to 1 of load mainly to protect the personnel and critical sections. In this research...
متن کاملQuality of life, clinical effectiveness, and satisfaction in patients with beta thalassemia major and sickle cell anemia receiving deferasirox chelation therapy.
OBJECTIVES There is a need to remove excess iron with iron chelation therapy (ICT) to avoid the serious clinical sequelae associated with iron overload in patients with beta thalassemia major (BTM) and sickle cell anemia (SCA). Due to the effects of the diseases and their treatments, ICT is still a major reason for unsatisfactory compliance. The aim of this single-center observational study was...
